I sit down with Madi Gold, a wife to a police officer, stay-at-home mom, author, and the founder of Cool Moms Unite, a Christian community for mothers.
Though she grew up in a church home, Madi shares her powerful testimony of when faith became real, when Jesus truly became Lord of her life. While living in Los Angeles and working as a personal trainer, she found herself wrestling with her identity in Christ and questioning if she was really a Christian. It was in that season of struggle that God began to reshape her heart.
Out of her journey came Joy Restored: A Bible Study, born from her own battles with discouragement and the longing to rediscover joy. Madi took her pain and turned it into purpose—creating a study that points women back to the fullness of God’s presence. Centered on her favorite verse, “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy” (Psalm 16:11), Madi reminds us that true joy is not found in circumstances but in abiding with Christ.
Together, we also talk about the importance of community—being vulnerable, walking alongside one another, and experiencing the healing that comes when we live as the body of Christ.
