Choosing Him with De'Marquies Harvey

I sit down with De'Marquies Harvey, a former Marine and police officer who took a leap of faith to serve as a Guest Services Pastor. You may recognize his wife, Asiret Harvey, from Episode 9, Turning Pain Into Purpose—and now, we get to hear his incredible story.
De'Marquies shares about growing up in inner-city Chicago, the culture shock of college, and the hardships he faced along the way. But one of the most vulnerable parts of his story is losing his youngest son to cancer after being in remission. He opens up about wrestling with God, questioning His plan, and the struggles of grief. Yet through it all, he found deeper truths about who God is and His unwavering character.
We also dive into the daily choice to follow God over the desires of the world—how free will, like the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, is an invitation to trust and choose Him every single day.
This conversation is raw, real, and a reminder that even in the deepest pain, God is still good.
